Blood on the Clocktower - what is it?

Blood on the Clocktower is a social bluffing party game - similar to Mafia or Secret Hitler, but with more twists, roles and narrative depth. This game is designed for 7 to 20+ players, who decide who among them is the Demon not by "vibe" but by pure logic based on their and others roles. The core idea:

👥 Players

  • Players are divided into Good and Evil teams with 2 factions each (Townsfolk, Outsider, Minion and Demon)

  • The good team tries to nominate Demon

  • The evil team must prevent the Demon from being nominated.

💀 Uniqueness

Other bluffing games aside:

  • Dead players continue to play. They just lose their vote during nominations and their role no longer works. This means they can still talk, help, lie, and will be blindfolded during the night.

  • Each player has a specific role with different powers. In this game, there are no ordinary townspeople, everyone can do something unique.

  • During the voting, players can vote for every player.

  • Sometimes players may not trust even the information they receive.

🏘️ Role examples

In this game, you will rely on logic and role powers, not on how a person speaks. You will put together a puzzle based on how which roles worked or didn't work, you will try to understand if the person is who he says he is based on the information he received, and maybe even try to understand if the Demon has jumped into his assistants - the Minions.

  • Empath: finds out how many bad players there are among his neighbors.

  • Washerwoman: learns that there is a specific role between 2 people

  • Drunk: You think you're a specific role, but you're not.

  • Demon: Can kill players at night, but can also kill himself, thus transferring his powers to his assistants, Minions.
